The Eye of the Jailer in the Sanctum of Domination raid, Released 7/06/2021   Patch 9.1

Sanctum of Domination instance portal.

Boss:

Achievement:

Eye Wish You Were Here – Defeat The Eye of the Jailer after using Scavanged S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera to take a picture of the Eye of the Jailer and the entire raid after it has cast Immediate Extermination in The Sanctum of Domination on Normal or higher difficulty.  *All players have Photoflash! *Eye of the Jailer has photoflash!

Overview:

This is a three phased fight.  The first phase is fighting against the Eye of the jailer itself and the second phase will rotate, occurring at each 33% interval.  At 66% and 33%, two Deathseeker Eyes will spawn on each end of the platform and must be killed.  Once they die, phase one will begin again.  Phase 3 is at 32% percent or after the 2nd phase 2 and is a race against time to kill the boss before it becomes unhealable.

Grapple – Located on each point around the boss are grapple locations and can be used to jump/grapple from one side of the platform to another to assist in avoiding mechanics.

Phase 1: His Gaze Upon You (100%-66%)(65%-33%)

During this phase the boss has 3 primary mechanics and 2 tanking mechanics for a total of 5.

Piercing Lens(TANK) – The current active tank will sometimes be hit for 45k/P(62k/P H)(82k/P M), so use active mitigation on this.

DeathLink(TANK) – this is a 2 sec cast time and will hit current active tank for 60k/P(82k/P H)(110k/P M) and also radiate damage to the rest of the raid for a portion of the damage the tank receives.  So ideally, the tank should use active mitigation and a cd to help offset this and lessen the raidwide impact. Swap on this.

ADD: Stygian Abductors:

Dragging Chains(H) – This add who is not on the platform initially will target a random player and cast Dragging Chains.  The player targeted will channeled for 5 seconds with a large gold/yellow circle and after 5 seconds, they will be hit for 25k/S/6 yards(33k/S/6 yards M) and drug off the platform by a chain.  This can however be shared by any other players who get into the 6 yards graphic.  The damage can be shared as well as the pull effect, lessening both.  The dragging effect will last for 6 seconds and if they players survive, and the add will be pulled from the skies out of frustration called a Stygian Abductor.  Once grounded, the add will cast Assailing Lance – at the current tank, causing him to bleed for 5k/P/1s/10s/stacking(7k/P/1s/10s/stacking M).  Kill the add asap to help the tanks survive.

Eye Bolt – The Deathseeker Eyes, flanking the boss will sometimes target a random player and hit them for 4.5k/S(6.2k/S H)(8.2k/S M).  Heal through this.

Phase 2: Double Vision (66%)(33%)

Fracture Soul – A beam will sometimes target a random player and inflict 7k/S/7yards(10k/S/7yards H)( 14k/S/7yards M) to anyone within the 7 yards impact location.  If a player is struck, Fractured Soul – will occur which will spawn souls shards which will inflict damage to the player hit for 800/S/1s/+20% reduced speed/+ 30% reduced healing/stacking (1.1k/S/1s/+20% reduced speed/+ 30% reduced healing/stacking H) (1.5k/S/1s/+20% reduced speed/+ 30% reduced healing/stacking M)  until the shards are touched.  (Not sure what they mean by touched.)

Annihilating Glare(Big BEAM!) – The boss will sometimes channel a beam across the platform that must be avoided.  Any player struck by this huge beam will take 45k/S/1s/+ knockback(62k/S/1s/+ knockback H)( 82k/S/1s/+ knockback M).  Players can use cd’s or immunities to survive or take the Grapple Jump locations to cross over to avoid it.  Having handy speed items/potions might be handy in a pinch.

At each 33% interval, except 0, the boss will phase.  In phase 2, Stygian Ejection will occur and the boss will unleash two Deathseeker Eyes to assist him.  One at either side of the platform.  Players too close to the ejection locations will also take 12k/S(16.5k/S H)(22k/S M).  Due to the Stygian Shield –  the boss will be cloaked and immune to damage during this time.

Titanic Death Gaze – Occasionally during phase 2 the boss will cast Titanic death Gaze which must simply be healed through.  This will hit the entire raid for 12k/S(16.5k/S H)(22k/S M).

Desolation Beam – will be cast(6s) by the boss on occasion at a random player.  It has a 6 second cast time and affected players must move away or the group must spread.  The initial player will be hit for 11k/S(15k/S H)(19k/S M) before jumping to nearby players, increasing damage each jump.

Deathseeker Eyes(ADDS):

During phase two, two Deathseeker Eye adds will spawn, 1 on either side of the platform.  Each tank should pick up one of these, decided beforehand and tanked at predesignated locations.    Phase 2 ends when both adds die and they must die within 7 seconds of one another.

Dying Suffering – If both adds do do not die within 7 seconds of one another, on the 8th and every 8 seconds later, the dead add will pulse damage to the raid called Suffering equal to 7k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking (41k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking H) (55k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking M) and it stacks.

Piercing Lens(TANK) – The current active tank will sometimes be hit for 30k/P(41k/P H)(55k/P M), so use active mitigation on this.  Also, the adds need to be tanked close enough to dps them both but at least 30 yards apart due to Shared Suffering – if the adds are within 30 yards of one another they will cast  Suffering every 3 seconds.  Suffering – will deal raidwide damage equal to 7k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking (41k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking H) (55k/S/3s/+ increasing S by 20%/1 min/stacking M) and it stacks.  So don’t get too close!

Slothful Corruption – is a dispelable magic effect that will sometimes be placed on random players.  This will slow ranged attack speeds, movement and casting speeds by 40% and inflict 1.8k/S/1.5s/21s(2.5/S/1.5s/21s H)( 3.3 k/S/1.5s/21s M) every 1.5s/21s.

Spreading Misery – will also affect random players and inflict them with 2.5k/S/1s/5s(3.3k/S/1s/5s H)( 4.4k/S/1s/5s M).  after it reaches 5 seconds and expires, it will drop a pool at the players location called Jailer’s Misery.  These pools will last 10 minutes and deal 7.5k/S/1.5s(10k/S/1.5s H)( 14k/S/1.5s M) to anyone standing in them.  Place them neatly if you can.

Phase 3: Immediate Extermination (32%-0)

This phase is a race against time and hero should be used here.
