How-To redeem a Blizzard Balance Card for game time.

How-To redeem a Blizzard Balance Card for game time, made easy.

If you play World of Warcraft and happen to find yourself in possession of a blizzard balance card, you’ll need to do a couple of things in order to redeem it for game time. First, be aware that the balance cards come primarily in $20.00 increments and for the example we use here. Now, since it is a balance card, you can, if you chose to do so, use the funds to purchase other blizzard related items or services instead of in-game gold or game time. It is your choice.

Step 1.

First, gently scratch off the back of the card to view the code and if you only have the code, make sure to type it exactly as it appears into your blizzard account redeem location.

Step 2.

2. After that’s done, the balance should appear as you see in the picture below.

Step 3.

3. Once that occurs, you can use this balance to buy many blizzard items or services. But since Blizzard (At the time of this blog) does not currently allow you to purchase game time itself for less than $30.00, you will need to go a bit further in order to turn this balance into game time. If your account is currently active by way of a paid subscription, log into World of Warcraft or any Blizzard game that allows you to buy a token for gold in game, like you see here.

Step 4.

4. You can then proceed to buy an in-game token for $20.00 as you see here, and then you can place the token on the in-game auction house. After a few hours, the gold’s current auction value will show up in your in-game mail. Then, simply use the gold you have acquired to buy a game time token from the Auction House itself, for the same gold amount you just received! It’s a little weird but it does work.

NOTE: Again, you must have a current active Blizzard subscription for this to work.
